Happy Birthday, Kevin!!!!

I am late in this.  The morning of! Happy Birthday, Kevin.  Thank you for being a wonderful husband and father.  I appreciate everything you do.  Here is your birthday acrostic.

K- KIND  There's many adjectives that start with "K" that describe Kevin.  This was is the best fit.  From letting everyone cross in front of him while driving through parking lots, to letting people over in front of him in traffic, to trying to help others at all costs, Kevin epitomizes kind.
E- EASY-GOING  Kevin is the yin to my controlling yang.  He is the "fly by the seat of your pants" guy.  He's fine with no plan and taking things as they come.  I hope the kids got this part of him because it's no fun being the planner especially with a laid back spouse.  Comment if you feel what I'm sayin'.
V- VIGILANT  You can see this most with his work.  He will do whatever he can to get the job done right and well.  He prides himself on it.  It doesn't have to be work either, but when helping someone with their car or computer too.  He strives for the best possible outcome in most situations.
I- INTELLIGENT  I think Kevin could possibly win Jeopardy! or come darn close to it.  We joke that he has a lot of useless knowledge.  His go to channels are the History Channel and the Discovery Channel.  He even has the kids wanting to watch How It's Made.
N- NERD  It's a job requirement.  HA!  He works in computers, so it makes sense.  I think it sums him up well with the whole useless knowledge thing.  This is what Wikipedia has to say about the definition of nerd.
A nerd (adjective: nerdy) is a person, typically described as being overly intellectual, obsessive, or socially impaired. They may spend inordinate amounts of time on unpopular, obscure, or non-mainstream activities, which are generally either highly technical or relating to topics of fiction or fantasy, to the exclusion of more mainstream activities.(HALO ANYONE?) Additionally, many nerds are described as being shy, quirky, and unattractive, and may have difficulty participating in, or even following, sports. "Nerd" is a derogatory, stereotypical term, but as with other pejoratives, it has been reclaimed and redefined by some as a term of pride and group identity.

Happy Birthday, Kevin!  Thank you for choosing me.  I wish you every happiness in the world.  I love you, miss you, want you, and need you (how we have always signed any correspondence between us since the beginning.)

  1. Thank you for the wonderful Birthday acrostic babe. It was far to nice to describe me that way. I know I don't deserve such a loving and caring wife. I love my family and hope they know it! They are everything to me and I thank God for them all the time. There is nothing I have wanted more than to be a husband and father. I just I don't mess them up to much.
